Winter Warm-up Chilli & Cornbread

It’s that time of year; cold weather, busy schedules, holiday prepping and unexpected company. Here is the Winter Warm-up Chilli recipe, perfect for when Family and friends drop by.   • 2 lbs Ground Turkey
  • 1 28 oz Can Tomato Puree or Tomato Sauce (choose one with tomatoes as the only ingredient)
  • 2 Cups Organic GF Vegetable Broth
  • ½ cup pureed pumpkin or can use 1/2 cup canned pumpkin puree for thickening.
  • 2 Cups Sliced Mushrooms
  • 1 Medium Zucchini Squash, chopped
  • 1 Medium Onion, minced
  • 6 Cloves Garlic, minced
  • 3 Tbsp. Chilli Powder
  • 1 Tbsp. Cumin
  • 1 Tsp. Garlic Powder
  • 2 Tbsp. coconut oil


  1. Brown Turkey in a large pan and then add to crock pot, set on high.
  2. Add: Tomato puree, Vegetable Broth, Pumpkin puree, 2tbsp of chilli powder, 1tsp Garlic powder and 1 tbsp. cumin to crock pot and stir.
  3. Add 1 tbsp. of oil to the same pan you browned the turkey in and sauté on medium-high: the onion, garlic, mushrooms and zucchini.
  4. Sauté until veggies are softened and add to crock-pot.
  5. Cover and cook on high for 2 hours and then put on low for 2 hours.
